Discover Angkor with our Angkor 4 days tour and day trip to Phnom Kulen
Day 1: Pre Rup Temple, Banteay Samrè and Banteay Srei
– At 8:00 a.m., meet at the hotel reception for the purchase of entrance tickets to the temples ($62 per person for a three-day ticket).
– Start the day with a visit to the Pre Rup temple, the state building of King Rajendravarman II from the 10th century.
– Continue towards Banteay Samrè, dating from the 12th century and partially in ruins within the village.
– Travel about 40 km to the site of Angkor to explore the Banteay Srei temple, a small jewel in pink sandstone adorned with magnificent bas-reliefs.
– Breakfast in a local restaurant.
– Return to discover the largest temple on the site, Angkor Wat, dating from the 12th century under the reign of King Sauryavarman II. Return to the hotel around 5 p.m.
Day 2: Ta Phrom, Northern and Central Temples
– Departure from the hotel for the sunrise at Angkor and then visit Ta Phrom, famous for its tropical trees and its appearance in the films “Tomb Raider” and “Two Brothers”.
– Continue with the visit of the temples of the north: Eastern Mebon, Ta Som, Neak Pean and Preah Khan (Buddhist temple of the XIIth century).
– Breakfast in a local restaurant.
– Explore the grand complex including Bayon, Baphuon, Phimean Akas, Terrace of Elephants and Terrace of the Leper King. Return to the hotel around 5 p.m.
Day 3: Kompong Phluk, City of Kork Srok and Temples of Rolous
– Departure at 8:00 a.m. to visit the fishing village of Kompong Phluk on the shore of Tonle Sap Lake. A unique experience with its houses on stilts flooded annually.
– Lunch at the inhabitant.
– Exploration of the village of Kork Srok and visit of the temples of the 9th century city: Tortoeung Thgnei, Trorpeang Phong, Bakong, Preah Kô. These temples are part of the Rolous group, near the ancient capital Hariharalaya. Return to the hotel after sunset at Tonlé Sap..
Day 4: Phnom Kulen and Siem Reap
– Departure at 8:00 am from the hotel for Phnom Kulen, a mountain located 50 km north of Siem Reap (altitude: 500 m).
– Visit of the Big Buddha, the Thousand Lingas River and the waterfall.
– Breakfast in a local restaurant.
– Discovery of the city of Siem Reap, with a visit to Artisans d’Angkor and the old market.
Prices and Inclusions
– The cost of this program is $380 and includes: French-speaking guide, mini van, tuk-tuk, boat, tickets for the mountain (maximum 2 people).
– $410 (maximum 4 people).
