Lok lak is another must-try specialty, usually made with sautéed beef and served with tomatoes and salad, topped with a peppery lime sauce. This sauce has a unique taste thanks to the use of Kampot pepper, one of the best in the world.

Apsara dance dinner show in Siem Reap

After this busy day, I suggest you return to your hotel to relax before meeting up around 6 p.m. to attend a dinner show in town. You may have already admired Apsaras carved at Angkor; In this dinner show, you will have the opportunity to see them perform live. The Apsaras will perform graceful movements reminiscent of snakes, a reference to the great history of Cambodia.

According to legend, the Khmer empire was born from the union between a Naga princess (neak in Khmer, symbolizing Asian dragons) and an Indian prince. This story explains the presence of representations of snakes throughout Khmer architecture, whether in century-old temples, pagodas or bridges.
